The Nerite Snail is one of the most hardy, useful, and intricate snails out there. Their black shells protect them from predators. Nerite Snail are wonderful scavengers that will graze rocks and tank walls for algae. Nerite Snails require very little attention and will thrive so long as your tank has some level of algae growth. As Nerite Snails are climbers, it is highly recommended to have a closed lid as the snail can just climb right out if not.
